Benefits of SLD Configuration

The system Landscape Directory (SLD) is the central information provider in a system landscape.
The SLD contains two types of information: component and all available information about SAP products and components, including their versions. if there are any third-party products in the system landscape, they are also registered. At the time of design integration objects, the component information is derived from the SLD to define business scenarios.The landscape description contains all systems installed in a system landscape. If a collaborative business process is configured, the landscape description is necessary to determine the system information about the business partner involved.You give all the technical systems of the system landscape in the SLD. These include host names and other technical attributes, as well as information on the software component installed on a server. Assign a name business system to any technical system. This business system is required for the scenario configuration as the name for the sender and receiver systems.
